A project titled “To ensure basic and quality education for the children of Mishing Community in Golaghat district” is being implemented by us, in the Guwahati region, in partnership with NEADS, a local NGO. To meet the objectives of the primary theme, a Back 2 Basics (B2B) programme and Liberate School concepts are being implemented in the project area. The project covers 28 revenue villages, which are subdivided into 59 hamlets. NEADS, under the auspices of this project, proposes to work closely with the various stakeholders such as children, parents, teachers, PRI members, district administration, and others to improve the access and quality of education. The B2B programme will be implemented in both Government and Venture schools to improve on the quality of education. The local communities will be engaged in active management of schools. Additional focus will be given to the issue of girl children education.
