Ravi Pratap Singh, Regional Director, Aide et
Action International South Asia
Ravi Pratap Singh is the regional director
of the South Asia programme. His responsibilities are building the vision of
AEAI-SA, developing strategies for resource mobilisation, developing projects
and strategies for geographical expansion and contributing to the process of
the internationalisation of Aide et Action. His areas of expertise are strategic
planning and programme development, participatory approaches and practices in education,
livelihood systems and natural resource management. He has been associated with
civil society organisations in India and many other countries in Asia and
Africa.
P. B. Sajeev, Head, Programme Support and
Development Unit
P.
B. Sajeev is head of the Programme Support and Development
Unit. His responsibilities include adding value to
programmes and extending support to regional programs and interventions. He holds a post-graduate diploma in rural management and systems
management. His areas of expertise include programme and project development and management,
micro-planning, participatory rural appraisal, participatory poverty analysis
and participatory vulnerability analysis, monitoring and evaluation, MIS development
and post-emergency rehabilitation.
Umi Daniel, Head-Migration
Thematic Unit
Umi
Daniel provides technical and managerial support for designing, putting in
place and monitoring of projects related to the education of migrant children.
As head of the Migration Thematic Unit for AEAI-SA, Umi Daniel manages
evidence-based research, networking, capacity building and advocacy. He has a
post-graduate degree in social work and has 22 years of experience working with
NGOs and INGOs in India. His expertise is with facilitating micro-level
planning, social audits, designing food security projects, children’s rights
and governance of migrant populations.
David Williams, Head, Finance and Administration
David Williams is the head of Finance and Administration and
is based in Chennai. He is responsible for managing AEAI-SA’s finances,
including external audits, financial reporting for institutional donors,
compliance with all statutory agencies, and internal audits of NGO partners. He
is also responsible for human resources management and development functions.
His education includes a post-graduate degree in public administration, a
bachelor's degree in literature, a post-graduate degree in computer programming
and a certificate course in French.
Glenfrey De Mel, Regional Head – Resource
Mobilisation and Brand Building
Glenfrey De Mel is the head of Resource
Mobilisation and Brand Building in AEAI-SA. He has 26-year career in the development sector. He leads a team working towards AEAI’s mission
by raising appropriate resources and by ensuring high-quality communication
within and outside the organisation to build and strengthen the image of the
organization. He worked for several INGOs, UN agencies and
with the government of Sri Lanka. He is a passionate advocate for children’s
rights who values the right to education at its highest levels.
Meera Shankar, Head,
Sponsorship
Meera Shankar is the head of sponsorship and
is based in Chennai. She is responsible for overseeing the functions of
sponsorships and for preparing the communication materials for sponsors. Her
education includes a post-graduate degree in French, a post-graduate diploma in
computer applications, a bachelor’s degree in physics and an advanced diploma
in French language from Alliance Française. She is passionate about teaching
and furthering AEAI’s education efforts to aid in India’s development.
