The final report on the evaluation of the ‘ongoing mid day meal scheme in 580 primary schools of Chhattisgarh’ was submitted to the Directorate of Public Instructions, Chhattisgarh on 19th May 2009It was highlighted to the officials that teachers training should incorporate methods in which they can link up contents of sylabii to MDM process and explain the same to children for enhancing their understanding.Another important recommendation made was about the monotony of the meal. Interaction with one of the assistant directors of the MDM cell revealed that they are in the process of preparing a detailed menu chart with alternate preparations of rice.
