Aide et Action - Access and Quality Education

Access and Quality education continues to be a challenge for children from the poor and the marginalised communities in South Asia. It is often observed that competency levels of children in the government run schools in India are far below the expected levels. Despite the growing number of education programmes, a large proportion of children do not master basic numeric and literacy skills by the time they complete their primary education.

Quality education programme:

Aide et Action International works towards ensuring quality education. Its programme identifies the basic learning difficulties in children and seeks to bridge the gap in their learning by identifying the inadequacies of the education systems and the quality of the teaching/ learning processes. The quality education project- Back to Basics (B2B) reaches out to 1,63,730 children in India and Nepal.

Quality improvement in primary education in Nepal

Through this project, Aide et Action Nepal aims to bring a visible improvement in basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills among children. The project covers approximately 200 teachers in 2 districts of Nepal, and provides training and capacity building events for improving the quality of teaching in 100 schools. It focusses on sensitising the cmmunity members and stakeholders, resulting in efficient mplementation and monitoring of education programmes. More
